State BJP has welcomed various people friendly decisions taken by Punjab Cabinet during its meeting held last day.In a press statement issued from party headquarters here, state BJP chief Kamal Sharma has said that people of the state are set to get big relief from this pro-people decision taken by the government.“Especially, the decision to ensure life imprisonment for those involved in incidences of sacrilege of religious books would go a long way in ensuring the peace and communal harmony in Punjab. It would definitely add to curb such ultra-sensitive incidences of religious faith,” said Sharma.The state BJP chief also hailed the decision to give employment to 1.14 lacs youth of the state in various departments terming it the biggest achievement of this government. “This decision would also help in ensuring good governance as because of absence of requisite staff in the departments, the government function was slow,” said Sharma.The BJP said the SAD-BJP government has also paid respect to the old-aged persons by doubling the amount of the monthly pension.
