District Development Commissioner Baramulla inaugurated honey sale centre of Agriculture department in Agriculture Complex Baramulla today. Present on the occasion were senior officers and experts of Agriculture department and a sizeable number of farmers from across the district.It was given out that honey production in the district has touched seven quintals worth Rs. 2.30 lakh during the current fiscal under government sector while under private sector 150 quintals worth Rs. 60 lakh were produced in the district.
The District Development Commissioner was informed that 350 beneficiaries were provided assistance to set up 50 income generating units under various schemes including RKVY.Later, the District Development Commissioner chaired an awareness camp organized by Animal Husbandry department Baramulla to aware the farmers about various contagious diseases among animals and preventive measures thereof.The District Development Commissioner also distributed awards among farmers and breeders for record milk production.
