To review overall security arrangements of Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home minister Raj Nath Singh Saturday chaired a high level meeting with the top officials of the security agencies.One of the top officials of MHA wished anonymity told KNS that the meeting was chaired by Union Home minster Raj Nath Singh at New Delhi, besides the top officials of Central reserve Police force, Border Security Force (BSF) and other senior officers of intelligences Army and other forces.

He said that Home Minister stressing on the need for close coordination among different departments to ensure peace in the state. “During the meeting, the Home minister sought reports from the participants about the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir. The senior officials representing different security agencies briefed the meeting about the required steps to be taken to maintain law and order and ensure the security Plan in the state,” he added.

He further said that that the union home minister also stressed upon better coordination among all sister agencies and the civil administration. “To foil any attempt by troublemakers to disrupt peaceful atmosphere, close liaison should be maintained at every level and the officers supervising different components should be briefed accordingly,” he said.Meanwhile sources said that, a high level team of MHA is likely arriving Jammu and Kashmir.Sources told KNS that the team headed by joint secretary level officer of MHA will visit Jammu and Kashmir for on spot security review arrangements. “The team will arrive here and will visit forward border posts of Jammu and Srinagar along the International Border (IB) for on spot review of the situation. Recent terror attacks by the militants after infiltration from across the border, more attempts by the militants to cross over and steps taken by the BSF to curb the intrusion bids would come up for high level review in the meeting,” sources said.
