In order to establish 5067 income generating units, Rs. 89.32 crore have been advanced under the Credit Action Plan (CAP) by various financial institutions during the first six months of current financial year in district Bandipora, achieving 28 percent in financial terms and 40 percent in physical terms of the fixed target.This was stated during a meeting of District Review Committee held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Bandipora here today. The meeting reviewed the achievements made under the credit plan during first two quarters.The meeting was informed that the advances were made under priority and non priority sectors, out of which J&K bank provided Rs. 69 crore to the beneficiaries.The DDC on the occasion urged officers and bankers for speedy disposal of government sponsored cases. He directed the banks and sponsoring agencies to work with cooperation, coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets for development, progress and eradication of unemployment. He also stressed for conducting of awareness camps at village level, block level and district level to bring awareness among the people.Among others, Lead District Manager Bandipora besides officers from concerned departments and the representatives from Reserve Bank of India and NABARD were present in the meeting.
