Minister for Transport, Abdul Ghani Kohli today inaugurated the macadamization work on the Siot -Kalakote road here. The work shall be executed by R&B department at an estimated cost of Rs 6.50 cr.Member Parliament Mr Jugal Kishore and Vice Chairperson Pahari Advisory Board, Mr.Kuldeep Raj Gupta were also present on the occasion.The Minister on the occasion reiterated the resolve of the Government to improve the road communication network across the State. He said macadamization work on this vital link road taken in hand today will go a long way in mitigating the problems of the people using the route and it is expected that the work will get completed within the stipulated time.Mr Kohli said special attention is being provided to connect cut off and remote areas with better road infrastructure so that such areas also become part of the development process underway in the State. He hoped for a new era of economic welfare and development in the area and urged people to come forward and avail the benefits of various welfare and development schemes of the Government.
