Over ten people were detained as police Tuesday busted a sex racket being run in a hotel on Jammu -Pathankote National Highway in Kathua.“Acting on a tip-off, police party Tuesday afternoon conducted a raid in a hotel Rattan Palace at Hatli Morh near here ,” police sources said.They said the racket was being operated since long while after number of complaints lodged by unknown callers, a raid was conducted by a police Party led by SHO Women Cell, Kathua Sanjeevani Jyoti.More than ten people including girls, have been detained and the matter is being investigated,” police added.Giving details SHO Sanjeevani Jyoti said that the police have received complaints since a long time that a sex racket is being run in the Hotel and Tuesday they raided the hotel and detained three girls and seven boys.
The police has put them on sustained interrogation to get more leads about the sex racket being run in the hotel and lay hands on its king pin.She said the investigation is going on and police is investigating the role of hotel owner in the racket. She said it appears that the girls are not the habitual but they have been dragged by some one and police is investigating every angle to reach out to culprits so that they can be punished under law of the land.Meanwhile, sources said that the police has also detained the manager and one receptionist of the hotel.
