Minister for Agriculture Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today laid foundation of new building for Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Chrar-e-Sharief.Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Budgam and other officers of education department were present on the occasion.On the occasion, the Minister was informed that the building will be having facilities of six classrooms, one library and one Science Laboratory to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.20 crore.
The Minister directed the executing agency to speed up the pace of work and complete the project within the stipulated time frame. He also asked them for judicious use of funds.Earlier, the Minister inaugurated Government Middle School, Zinpanchal building, consisting of six additional classrooms along with allied items like sanitary units and boundary wall, completed at a cost of Rs 37.72 Lakh.During the inspection of the newly constructed building, the Minister announced two computers out of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for use of students in the school. He also directed the Deputy Commissioner Budgam to ensure early starting of construction of approach road leading to the school.
