Strongly condemning the recent incidences of desecration of Shri Guru Granth Sahib, the core committee of the BJP in its emergency meeting held today asked the state government to nab the culprits of the sin as soon as possible.According to a statement issued from party office, the core committee, chaired by state BJP chief Sh.Kamal Sharma, while analyzing the law and order situation of the state, stated that those who have committed this crime should get exemplary sentence so that nobody dare in the future in committing such sins which are threat to the hard earned peace of Punjab.

The core committee also appealed to all political parties of the state to maintain restrain in earning political brownie points from the ultra sensitive issue relating to the religion. The committee also appealed them to rise above politics and work untidily to ensure peace and harmony of the state.The core committee was also attended by Union Minister Vijay Sampla, Cabinet Ministers Chunni Lal Bhagat, Surjit Kumar Jyani, Madan Mohal Mittal, National secretary Tarun Chugh, organizational secretary of the party Dinesh Kumar, former organization secretary Ajay Jamwal, political advisor to the Chief Minister Tikshan Sud, former state chief Prof. Rajinder Bhandari, MLA Manoranjan Kalia, party general secretaries Rakesh Rathore and Jagtar Singh Saini.
