Bali Baghat discusses issue of revocation of reservation quota in promotion with CM

Minister for Forests & Social Welfare, Bali Baghat, today met the Chief Minister and discussed the issue of reservation quota in promotions, which has been struck down by the State High Court, recently.The Forest Minister apprised the Chief Minister of the serious implications of the Court decision, which he said will have far reaching repercussions on the large number of people fall in this category and are depriving of their rights. He said that about 50 per cent population belong to these categories, adding that their rights are being infringed with this order and need to   rethink on it. He also apprised him that large number of Government employees and Social organizations of reserved categories have approached and asked him to take up the matter with the Government.A high level meeting will be convened tomorrow afternoon to decide further course of action in the matter in which Law Minister, Chief Secretary, Law Secretary, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Advocate General will be present.
