Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture Priya Sethi today convened a high level meeting with the officers of JMC and other allied departments to review the arrangements of forthcoming Navratras, Dussehra and Muharram in the Jammu city.Impressing upon authorities to gear up for the coming festive season, Priya directed the JMC to make all necessary arrangements for cleanliness and proper hygiene in the city, adding that during the Navratras the city witnesses unprecedented rush of devotees and to ensure fool proof arrangements for city residents as well as visiting tourists all men and machinery needs to be geared up.She also issued directions to the PDD officials for completing pending repair and allied works so that un-interrupted power supply is ensured.The Minister called upon the JMC and other agencies to jointly work for ensuring lightening of public places, temples and religious places which are visited by devotees during these special days. She said special arrangements have to be made at those places from which Navratra yatra has to start and pass.Joint Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation R.S. Jamwal, senior officers and engineers of other line departments attended the meeting.
