Describing Congress Party as future of the Country and State, PCC Chief G.A. Mir stated that Congress Party being the only secular & unifying force can ensure the integrity of the State and Country . We have served the people and would continue to serve them best; PCC Chief said this while addressing an Election Rally at Leh Saturday.Mentioning that people of Ladakh have always reposed their faith in the programme and policies of Congress Party, PCC Chief reminded the people of Ladakh Region about the historic steps taken by the UPA Govt for the overall development of the region and people. Many prestigious developments projects were taken up aiming to strengthen the people of Ladakh and make them self reliant, PCC Chief said in a statement to KNS.
PCC Chief said that people in all the three regions have always maintained communal harmony, brotherhood and lived in peace, but efforts, particularly during Election times, are being made by certain forces to disintegrate and disturb the secular fabric of the State for the sake of coming into Power.He said any move to disintegrate the state would be defeated by Congress Party. PCC Chief asked the people to remain vigilant about the politics of exploitation, as the State has experienced this during 2014 Assembly Elections, he warned.Congress party being a vibrant situation and strong enough would defeat the designs of those forces depending upon divisive & politics of exploitation, for their survival. But, Congress would never allow such forces to play with the sentiments of people on region or religions basis.
Rejecting the designs of anti peace & disruptionist forces, people of Ladakh Region have always defeated politics of polarization and communalism. He felt confident that this time too when Leh is going for Council Elections, people would reject those forces misleading people for the sake of coming into power, he said.Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating situation in the State, he said Coalition Partners PDP BJP are both responsible for the messy situation presently prevailing in the State. He warned asked both PDP and BJP to get ready to face tough times ahead, as the mishandling of situation by them have disturbed the socio political set up of the Regions to a great extent, he said.
Seeking vote and support for Congress Candidate for Leh Dev Council, G.A. Mir expressed confidence that people have full faith in the pro people policies of Congress Party, he appealed the people to casting their vote in favour of Congress Candidates and elect them for Hill Dev Council Leh, as this Party (Congress) alone has always served people of Ladakh Region best and worked always for the equitable development of all the Regions, he said.
Urging people of Leh to elect Congress Candidate for Leh Hill Dev Council with a thumping majority, PCC Chief assured the people that Congress would continue to work for strengthening the democratic institution of the State and would never allow anyone to undermine these institutions, he said.Reiterating Congress Party’s resolve for strengthening people and equitable development of the regions, PCC Chief assured the people that Congress Party is committed to strengthen them (people).Accusing PDP and BJP for ignoring issues confronting people in all the three regions, PCC Chief hit out at both PDP and BJP for failing to address main issues of the people.
Cautioning people of Leh about the designs of certain forces aiming to polarize the situation especially during elections periods, PCC Chief appealed people of Leh to remain vigilant and defeat the designs of such forces trying to vitiate atmosphere of peace by creating wedge between the communities for their vested interests.Those who address the gather included District President T.
