Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh informed the House that construction work on bus stand Pulwama is apace. He said the project cost has now been revised to Rs 25.86 crore against which Rs 1.60 crore has been spent so far on its construction.Replying to a question by Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh, the Deputy Chief Minister said that since the availability of funds under State Plan is limited, and as the project involves huge amount of money, therefore the department is exploring possibility of funding the project under any of the centrally sponsored schemes. The Deputy Chief Minister said that however, the department is making efforts to complete the vital components of projects so that the Bus-Stand is made operational as per the decision of DDB. He said an amount of Rs 20 lakh has been allocated for the said work in current financial year under State Plan.
