Minister of State for Technical Education, Information, Rural Development and Power, Mr. Vikar Rasool today flagged off 700 Apprentices of Anantnag and Kulgam to Punjab and Haryana for four months today. Addressing a function, organized on this occasion, the Minister said that UPA government sanctioned the training programme for 15000 persons, out of which 11000 persons were imparted training in various skills, which include Banking Accountancy, Computer, Basic Electronics, Data Entry Operator, Plumber, Vehicle repairs and welding. He hoped that the youth after obtaining training shall be able to earn their livelihood by setting up of their income generating units.

Director Technical Education, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, besides Principal ITI, Anantnag, Superintendent ITI Seer Hamdan and Kulgam and other concerned officers of the department were present on the occasion.
