Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that the process of shifting of utilities and acquisition of land coming under expansion of Jammu Airport is in progress and shall be completed in due course of time. He further said that construction on expansion work of runway and other allied works of the Airport are being undertaken by the Director, Airports Authority of India (AAI).The Minister said this while replying to a question, on behalf of the Chief Minister, by Vikramaditya Singh in the Legislative Council today. The Minister informed that delay in expansion of Jammu Airport has been inter-alia, on account of acquisition of forest land for relocation of army facilities and shifting of civil facilities from the proposed expansion areas.Ajatshatru Singh raised supplementary to the main question.
