Minister for CA&PD, Choudhary Zulfkar informed the House that comprehensive survey has been got conducted through Deputy Commissioners of all the concerned districts for inclusion of the left-out families under Public Distribution System (PDS) in the State.Replying to a question by Advocate Aijaz Ahmed Mir in the House here today, the Minister said to ensure that no family is left out of PDS, the department has recently issued a circular wherein instructions have been passed to all Deputy Commissioners to include all those families for ration distribution, who have been left-out in census-2011.

The Minister said that a high powered inter-departmental committee headed by Principal Secretary to Government, Planning and Development Department with Commissioner Secretaries of Finance, CA&PD and Law Department as its members has been constituted to examine in detail the pros and cons of the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA). The Minister said the committee will be submitting its recommendations shortly to be placed before the State Cabinet for final decision.Legislators, Mir Zahoor Ahmad and Mr. Ravinder Raina raised supplementaries to the main question.
