Governor N.N. Vohra  has taken serious note of  the indifferent approach of various Government Departments in dealing with the pending complaints and enquiries pertaining to corruption cases against the government functionaries  and has called upon the Government to set up an effective mechanism to ensure that  all such pending cases are dealt with on a time-bound basis, and all arrears cleared by 31st March 2016, to achieve the objective of responsive and transparent governance in Jammu and Kashmir.Disturbed by the Report recently tendered to him by the CVC, the Governor has noted that a large number of complaints/enquiries which were referred by the CVC to various Government Departments have been pending for the past several years without any reasons given. He has called for time-bound attention being given by every concerned State Government Department for the disposal of all these complaints without any further delay. He has advised the Government to issue clear cut directions to the Departmental Vigilance Officers to ensure disposal of all pending complaints relating to the corruption in their respective departments within a time frame to achieve zero pendency by ending March, 2016. The Raj Bhavan Secretariat has also sought regular monthly progress report on the action taken and results achieved in this behalf.
