DDC Srinagar Conducts Wakefulness Programme at Milaad Educational Institute.

The Programme To Continue Till 15th December.

Police Drug-de-Addiction Center and Stress Management Helpline Srinagar in continuation to its series of drug abuse awareness programmes launched under School Mental Health programme held an awareness camps in Milaad Educational Institute, Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar. A series of drug abuse awareness programme was started in different schools of Srinagar District in which studentswere apprised of the harmful effects of drugs. The experts of Police Drug-de-Addiction Center and Stress Management Helpline Srinagar shared the gravity of ill effect that drugs are posing on health and its social and economical implication on the youth of our society.

Earlier, the drug abuse awareness programmes were held in Boys High School, Hazratbal, Kashmir Harvard educational Institute, Elite educational Institute Nishat, S.P Hr Sec. School, Caset School and National School.The programme will continue till the schools will be closed for winter vacation on 15th December. The latest in this series of awareness programme was held in Milaad Educational Institute, Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar. Dr. Siddrah Zia Medical Officer and Mr. Zahid Jeelani, Counseling sychologist spoke about drug abuse, its causes,and preventive measures of drug abuse, stress and stress management.The Principal of Milaad Educational Institute, Shaheed Gunj, also spoke about the importance of healthy life style in order to cope with such problems. “Healthy behaviors and following the teachings of religion can prevent us from social evils” he added.
