67 militants killed in Afghanistan military operations

Police have arrested seven persons on charge of involvement in terrorist activities in the western Herat province over the past couple of days, provincial police chief Abdul Majid Rozi said Sunday. (

At least 67 militants have been killed in operations by Afghanistan armed forces within the past 24 hours, said the country's defence ministry on Sunday.The ministry said 34 other militants were injured and 13 detained during the raids conducted by the army in 10 out of the country's 34 provinces, Xinhua news agency reported.Seven army personnel were also killed over the same period, the statement added.The Taliban militant group is yet to make comments.
