Brig (Retd) Harcharan Singh, Director Sainik Welfare, Jammu, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, who is also President, J&K Rajya Sainik Board, at the Raj Bhavan here today.Brig Singh, who took charge earlier this month, informed the Governor that he was acquainting himself with the varied problems relating to ex-Servicemen and their families in the State and has already met and held discussions with GOCs IX, XV and XXVI Corps, particularly to seek digitization of records relating to ex-Servicemen in Jammu and Kashmir.The Governor advised Brig Singh to speed up all programmes for maximizing the welfare of ex-Servicemen and their families and take up all pending issues with the State and Central Governments for urgent resolution.
