Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture Priya and senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi today jointly inaugurated grand new eating place for the food connoisseurs at B.C Road, here today.Stressing on developing better facilities for tourists, Priya Sethi said that the government has tagged tourism as key thrust area and all out efforts are afoot to develop Jammu as an independent tourist destination. She said that pilgrim and adventure tourism has tremendous scope in the region and to fully tap the potential private sector has to join hands with the government to develop facilities for tourists. “Good hotels and restaurants are integral part of tourism infrastructure which is needed to attract tourists to our region,” she added.
Appreciating initiative of the restaurant management for providing a good joint in the city, Yudhvir said that private sector players coming in to hospitality business in the region is a welcome step and tourists as wells as locals would surely appreciate a new eatery in the city. He said that quality is very important in the hospitality sector and the management would surely provide quality food and world class hospitality to its guests.“ We are happy to see new places coming up in the city and better hotels and restaurants are a welcome step in our region as such places become attractions for tourists also,” he added.Prominent among others who were present on the occasion include Ms Krishna Basin, Sanjeev Basin MD, Yash Pal Gupta President Retailers Association, Neeraj Anand Gen-Sec Hot Billions, Vinod Kundal Manager, Ms Samriti Basin, Ms Renu Basin, Satish Basin and Mukesh Sharma.
