To ensure celebration of Urs Shahi-Hamdaan (RA) and Eid-ul-Azha smoothly, on 21st  of September and 25th & 26th September respectively, District Development Commissioner Anantnag Muneer-ul-Islam today held a District level meeting of officers to review the necessary arrangements. Sr. Superintendent of Police, SDM Dooru, Pahalgam, Kokernag, SE’s of M&RE, Hydraulic and R&B, CMO Anantnag, concerned Tehsildars, Chief animal husbandry officer, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services, Xen’s of PDD, R&B and PHE, and all Executive officers of Municipal committees participated in the meeting.Threadbare discussion was held on availability of essential commodities including Rice, Atta, sugar and Kerosene, Transport arrangements, cleanliness of Mosques, streets and Eid-Gahs, ambulance services, uninterrupted electricity and water supply and repairs and renovation of roads.

District Development Commissioner instructed CAPD officers to ensure availability & distribution of essential commodities. He instructed the concerned to ensure adequate transport facilities are available. Chief medical officer was instructed to  keep ambulance services in a state of readiness along with doctors and paramedical staff.Tehsildars were instructed to keep a close vigil on stock and supply position besides ensuring market checking to keep check on unlawful profiteering.Chief Animal Husbandry officer was directed to ensure availability of poultry. Fire & Emergency service was also instructed to keep fire tenders in ready in case of any emergency.Executive officers of concerned Municipalities were instructed to ensure cleanliness around mosques.For ensuring the peaceful and smooth passage of people during these days police authorities were informed to have a close liaison with District administration besides ensuring smooth traffic movement. ARTO was directed to ensure availability of late night transport.
