To ensure observance of Eid-ul-Azha and Muharam smoothly, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam today held a District level meeting of officers to review the necessary arrangements.Superintendent of Police, SDM DH Pora, SEs of M&RE, Hydraulic and R&B, CMO Kulgam, concerned Tehsildars, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dy. Director Fire & Emergency Services, Xens of PDD, R&B and PHE and all Executive officers of Municipal committees attended the meeting.The DC instructed the CAPD Department to ensure the availability & distribution of essential commodities well in time. He instructed the concerned authorities to ensure adequate transport facilities during these days in main towns.

The CMO was instructed to ensure duty of Doctors and paramedical staff.The Tehsil and District level checking committees /squads were directed to intensify the market checking in order to curb the hoarding and price escalation. Besides, it was decided that sale depots for sacrificial animals will be established at Truck Terminal, Chawalgam and Bus Stand, Laroo.Chief Animal Husbandry Officer was directed to make sure the availability of poultry birds on concessional rates besides Executive Officers of concerned Municipalities were instructed to ensure cleanliness around the mosques and streets.
