A meeting of Committee on Petitions was held today under the chairmanship of MLC, Jugal Kishore Sharma in the meeting hall of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council.Legislators, Smt Rani Gargi Blowria and Mr. Sham Lal Bhagat were also present in the meeting.Petition of Sarpanch, Mr. Ramesh Singh of village Panjar district Udhampur regarding the relief to the victims of 2014 floods and petition of Mr. Mohammad Ali and others of Kargil district regarding the grant of land and tree compensation was discussed in the meeting.Committee took serious note of the absence of some officers. The Committee directed the Council Secretariat to issue notices to these officials and call them in the next meeting.Director Rural Development Jammu, Chief Engineer PMGSY and Deputy Commissioner Kargil besides the officers of the Council Secretariat attended the meeting.
