Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired a meeting regarding arrangements for the month of Muharram in the District.Officers from Police, Revenue, Health, PDD, PHE, R&B, Fire & Emergency Services, CA&PD Departments, Municipal Committee Ganderbal and various representatives from Shia Community participated in the meeting.After threadbare discussion, the Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon the officers to ensure all arrangements with regard to uninterrupted electricity supply, drinking water, essential commodities besides sanitation, transport and medicare facilities.The Deputy Commissioner directed Executive officer, Municipal Committee Ganderbal to maintain cleanliness in and around all Imambaras. He asked Forest officers to make available adequate quantity of firewood, particularly in Shia dominated areas of the district during the Muharram.
