Present Government is committed for all round development of Hilly, far- flung and backward areas and every possible step is being taken in this regard involving a huge network of road connectivity, electric and water supply facilities besides education and health facilities has been provided in all the regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. This was stated today by Minister for Public Enterprises, Hajj Auqaf and Floriculture Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed in a public rally at Mati Hindu and Ahlan Kokernag.Addressing the public gathering, Peerzada lauded the wholehearted financial support of Dr. Manmohan Singh led UPA Government by virtue of which centrally sponsored schemes and the developmental scenario of State has touched new heights, besides providing employment opportunities to the educated unemployed youth. evealing details of the development of Breng constituency Peerzada said that besides establishment of IGNOU, two Degree Colleges, many Middle and Secondary Schools have been upgraded resulting in providing employment opportunities to about 1000 educated youth besides making acquiring education facilities much easier especially in far flung areas. A blood bank has been established at SDH Kokernag and central Heating system will be made functional in the health care institution very shortly. Macadamization of many road projects has been completed while as many as 20 new road projects have been sanctioned for the constituency.Bringi water supply schemes have been upgraded besides establishing new ones. A specific incentive for repairing damaged electric transformers and LT/HT lines has been undertaken so that people face least difficulty during winter.Peerzada said that number of places in Kokernag have been identified to bring them on tourism map for which Kokernag Development Authority has been established. To add to the facilities for tourists, recently budgeted accommodation, Tourist Reception Centre and other facilities worth Rs. 9 crore have been inaugurated at Kokernag. The work on all season Tulip Garden of 417 kanals will be started soon at Sayan Sagam, the Minister added.
