Ailing patient care:Attendants at SKIMS Soura appeals higher ups

Various attendants whose patients are admitted in SIKIMS Soura here, Monday alleged that staff in ward 7A remains absent from duties, giving tough time to patients.A delegation of attendants told CNS that often they have to go for search to seek the help from the on duty staffer.“Medical and paramedical staffer in ward 7A are never on duty. Sometimes, when they are present in the ward, they are busy in playing games on electronic gadgets. They don’t pay any heed to the patient care,” they alleged.They said that patients who need immediate care or treatment in case of pain or any other health issue, have suffer for hours together till the attendants could find any staff member of the ward and beg for the help.They appealed SKIMS higher authorities to personally look into the matter.
