DC reviews situation at landslide hit areas

13 more tents provided to affected families

District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar today took stock of ground situation in the twin landslide hit   villages of Mohra Chhuara of Panchayat Uchha Pind and  Morha Kalana of Panchyat Dhannuparole in Tehsil Ramkote and  in Tehsil Billawar.He directed the Red Cross Kathua unit to send 13 more tents for the affected families taking the total tally of tents to 20.The district administration has shifted families from the Landslide prone areas to safer places immediately after the reports of landslide activity in the area were recieved. The Government Primary School Dhannu-Parole which was in High Risk Landslide prone area has been shifted and now running from make shift school. The administration has provided utensils, ration and tents to all the affected families and tehsil and district administration is monitoring the situation closely.The teams of doctors are visiting the relief camps regularly and conducted a medical check-up of all inmates of the camp.
