Devolution of powers to PRIs reviewed at Anantnag

District Development Commissioner Anantnag today convened a meeting of officers of 14 line departments coming under the perview of devolution of Powers to PRI’s and members of PRI’s besides Panchs and Sarpanchs at Town Hall Achabal.Threadbare discussions were held regarding the devolution of powers to PRI’s and it was decided that a meeting schedule will be convened for two CD-Block at Block headquarters per week by District Administration for taking stock of the implementation of government instructions regarding the subject and it will be obligatory for all concerned districts, blocks and tehsil level officers of 14 departments to attend these meetings at block level.

It was also decided that Gram Sabhas and monthly PRI meetings shall be convened on routine basis with status of participation be communicated with regard to various schemes with an intimation to PRI members. District Development Commissioner Anantnag directed all the officers of concerned departments to involve the PRI members in the planning and execution process of different developmental works and programmes to cater the needs and aspirations of public.
