Red Cross conducts training programme

Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch conducted a 3- Day training programme in First Aid and Disaster management for the employees of various departments of The Lalit Grand Palace, Srinagar.As many as 30 participants attended the training programme. The course module included lectures on First Aid in workplace, Evacuation during Disaster, Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies, Psychological First Aid, Triage & Transportation of Causalities, Poisoning etc.The resource persons in the training included senior Master trainers of IRCS, State Branch and external Disaster Management experts.General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch, Ms. Roma Wani, speaking on the occasion, said that Indian Red Cross Society, imparts training courses in various components of Disaster Management. She said that the training programmes are routinely conducted with various groups of people like students, community groups, police department, medical department etc.
