Interacts with farmers of Block Assar

Director Agriculture Jammu, Dr. S.S Jamwal held two day tour of District Doda.During his tour he first interacted with the farmers of Assar Block of Jathi and gave a patient hearing to the problems and viewed proposals of the farming community of the area. During the discussions the farmers raised their genuine demands regarding seeds, fertilizers and water availability in the area. After listening patiently the Director Agriculture gave on spot instructions to the officers regarding the availability of seeds and fertilizers in the area as per need of the farmers. A part from this the Director of Agriculture assured the farmers that their demand of canal repair will be taken up with concerned quarters for immediate necessary action.

After conducting farmers interaction the Director Agriculture visited the Bhaderwah area where he took the detailed review meeting of the section heads of the District and other officers in which the implementation of central and state government schemes were discussed.In both the meetings of farmers and the employees all the officers of the Agriculture Department were present such as H K Razdan CEO Doda, P.R Bhagat DAO (inputs), A A Gattu ASCO Doda, M A Beg DAO (E), Sh. B S Rana SDAO Pranoo, Shahid Iqbal SDAO Thathri and other officers of the department. Moreover a deputation of village Agriculture Extension Assistants and REZs also met the Director of Agriculture and discussed their problems.
