Vikar takes stock of dev works at Banihal

Asks officers to speed up, complete projects early

Minister of State for Technical Education and Power Vikar Rasool Wani took stock of progress of development works being executed by IRCON and Navyuga Construction Company and other departments at an officers meeting here today.Minister directed the officers of PWD, PDD and RDD  to speed up on the works taken up under BRGF and complete them within stipulated time frame.  He directed the engineers of  PDD to install all five transformers and Poles in the identified areas early while Engineer of  PWD was instructed to start the work on community hall Batoo Neel under BRGF.Vikar Rasool asked the District Development Commissioner to acquire the land for bus stand Banihal and pay compensation to land owners.  He directed engineers of R&B departments to keep ready men and machinery in order to keep road open during the winter.

The Minister also directed the authorities of revenue, R&B and IRCON   to identify the remaining damage compensation cases in Challi. He directed the company to construct a bore well at Nowgam so that the people of the area are benefitted.District Development Commissioner asked the Tehsildar Banihal and AEE, PHE to visit Thachi Ankoot and ensure that water reservoir is made functional early. He asked the authorities of Navyuga Construction Company to submit the list of compensation cases to tehsildar for its clearance. He instructed the engineers of PWD to complete the Dorapora and Chajroo bridge with in time.
