LC panel reviews Hajj arrangements

A meeting of the Departmental Related Standing Committee (DRSC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was held under the Chairmanship of MLC Mr. Ghulam Nabi Monga here today to review the Hajj arrangements.Legislators, Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar, Mr. Saif-ud-Din Bhat and Romesh Arora attended the meeting.Executive Officer of the State Hajj Committee Mr.Fayaz Ahmad Lone gave detailed report about the facilities and arrangements made by the Hajj and Auquf Department for hajj pilgrims at Mecca and Madina Sharief. He also informed about the facilities provided at Hajj House Bemina. He said that this year 6700 pilgrims from J&K State will perform hajj. He informed that first flight of Hajj Azmeen will take off from Srinagar International Airport on 17th of August, 2015. He said every flight will carry 340 pilgrims direct from Srinagar to Madina.Senior officers of Council Secretariat were present on the occasion.
