Hopeful Gurgaon will be smart city: Kaptan Singh Solanki

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki on Saturday said that he was hopeful that Gurgaon would also be included into the list of 'Smart Cities'.Speaking in Symposium-2015 organised here by the Council for Economic and Scientific Studies (CESS), he said with the 21st century being one of technology and development, the millennium city is far ahead of other cities on this count.Solanki also said that on Friday, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar met union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani during which it was declared that a model IIT would be set up in Gurgaon, which will pave way for higher technical education to youth here.Comparing Gurgaon to Chandigarh, he said that in some respects, Gurgaon is ahead of the state capital as it has many advantages including its situation in the National Capital Region.
