Javaid Mustafa Mir for making official accommodations cost effective

Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir today asked for framing a comprehensive policy regarding residential accommodation of Deputy Commissioners and other Revenue Officers working in the field. This, he said, is in view of the shrinking land resources in the State. Mr. Mir said the policy should be in consonance with the requirements of 21st Century growth paradigm.The Revenue Minister instructed to follow the principle of “Minimum Land and Minimum Cost” wherein multi-storey buildings would be constructed along with category classification.

The buildings will have common parking and other common facilities. The Minister further directed to design these buildings in future, in such a way that they should be less prone to disasters like floods, earthquakes etc. He asked the Secretary Revenue to consult the R&B Department in this regard.Earlier, Revenue Minister asked the Secretary Revenue to work for a comprehensive policy for minimum and optimum utilization of land in the State, wherein similar institutions will have fixed benchmarks for utilization of land with key focus on multi-storey buildings.
