I-Day arrangements finalised at Baramulla

Arrangements for the Independence Day 2015 celebration were finalised at Baramulla today during a meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah in chair.During the meeting, a thorough discussion regarding the seating arrangements, presentation of cultural programmes, parade presentation, security arrangement, award presentation etc. was held.It was given out that the main function will be held at District headquarters Baramulla. Besides, Independence Day function will also be held at all Sub Divisional and Tehsil levels. The Sub Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars informed the Deputy Commissioner that all arrangements regarding Independence Day celebrations at Sub-Divisional and Tehsil levels have already been given the final shape.

It was also given out that various cultural and special programmes will be presented by students from various schools, besides participants from Information department and Cultural Academy. Meanwhile, committees have already been put in place to look after different types of arrangements, like seating arrangements, refreshment, etc.The meeting was also informed that awards will be also distributed among persons with remarkable contributions in various fields. The full-dress rehearsal will be held on August 13, 2015.Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the officers to show coordination, cooperation and directed the officers of R&B, PHE, PDD and other departments to nominate Nodal Officers for ensuring that all necessary arrangements related to the Independence Day celebration are completed efficiently.SSP Baramulla, Mir Suhail, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, all District Officers, Sub Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars attended the meeting.
