DC Poonch reviews I-Day arrangements

To review the preparedness of different departments for celebrating Independence Day-2015, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani convened a meeting of concerned officers here today.Senior Superintendent of Police, J S Johar, SE PHE, Rayasat Khan, XEN PWD(R&B), Mushtaq Raina, XEN PDD, Nisar Hussain, Chief Education Officer, Ch Lal Hussain besides senior officers of various other departments attended the meeting.It was decided in the meeting that the main function will be held at Sports Stadium Poonch where National Flag shall be hoisted by the chief guest who will take salute at the march past to be presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC school children from various educational institutions.The Deputy Commissioner directed the R&B, Police, Traffic, Education, Information, Revenue, Municipality, PHE, PDD, Youth Services and Sports authorities to ensure arrangements of seating, barricading, electricity, drinking water, security, installation of Public Address System, march past and cultural items . He urged upon the officers to keep close liaison so that all the arrangements can be put in place well in time.
