Div Com Kashmir reviews Independence day arrangements at Bakshi Stadium

In connection with Independence Day celebrations here, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon convened a high level meeting of divisional and district officers today in which all the arrangements with respect to various departments were finalised.The meeting was attended by IGP Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, Chief Engineer PWD Kashmir, Director Floriculture, Kashmir and other divisional and district officers.It was told in the meeting that the main function in Srinagar will be organised in historic Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar and will be started with a Shahnai Wadan.

The meeting was told that artists of Information Department, Cultural Academy and 300 students of various educational institutions will present colourful   cultural activities in function, beside JK Police, CRPF, JKAP, Fire and emergency Services, Forest protection Force, student   of various educational institutions will participate in march past on August 15, 2015.The security agencies informed that all possible security arrangements have been finalised.

The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the agencies to ensure drinking water, electric supply and cleanliness around the Bakshi Stadium. He also directed the health department to ensure 2 ambulances and a medical camp in Bakshi Stadium.
