Bangladesh’s High Court rejected Khaleda’s petition

The country’s largest opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party chief Begum Khaleda Zia should have to continue legal fight in the   Gatco graft case that was filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission on September 2, 2007. 12 others were also accused in the case filed by the then military backed non-party caretaker government.The High Court on Wednesday rejected two petitions of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia that challenged the legality of the Gatco graft case trial. The bench of Justice Md. Nuruzzaman and Justice Abdur Rob has passed an order in which the former primer was asked to surrender within two month time.According to the case statement Khaleda had a link with a corruption of Tk  1,000 crore.On July 15, 2008, the High Court stayed the trial of the case as Khaleda lodged   two writ petitions with the High Court challenging the legality of bringing the case under the emergency power ru
