DDC reviews BADP projects

District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Ajay Singh Jamwal, today convened a meeting to review progress of ongoing projects under Border Area Development Programme (BADP) here today.ADDC Kathua Manmohan Singh, ACD Kathua Dr Sunil Sharma, Chief Planning Officer Ram Ratan, XEN PWD, BDO Hiranagar, Barnoti and Kathua and representatives of PDD and PHE were present in the meeting.The DDC emphasized on real time uploading of data and pictures of ongoing projects under BADP on specially designed Android Based Mobile Application ‘JKPULSE’. He called upon the officers to strictly adhere to the instructions of uploading data related to the development projects of BADP so that monitoring and inspection shall be ensured.

DDC also impressed upon the officers to take up the construction of toilets in all the villages within 10km from the Border to discourage open defecation.Later, a meeting of Executive Committee Members of Indian Red Cross Society, Kathua and Government Functionaries was convened under the chairmanship of DDC Kathua.During the meeting, DC enquired about the status of Red Cross Bhawan. He said that necessary office infrastructure and a vehicle will be provided to the IRCS Kathua for smooth functioning. He asked executive secretary IRCS to make an inventory of the items required for extending immediate help to the people during disaster.Additional SP, RTO, CEO, ACD, GM DIC, DSWO, Executive Secretary IRCS Kathua and other members were present in the meeting.
