Asiya Naqash conducts extensive tour of Hazratbal constituency

Asks administration to ensure basic amenities to people

Minister of state for Health and Social Welfare, Asiya Naqash along with senior officers of UEED, Roads and Buildings, LAWDA, SMC and other concerned departments conducted extensive tour of various areas of Hazratbal constituency and took stock of availability of basic amenities to the people.She visited interior parts of Jogi Lanker and Naidyar including Tangbagh, Gupora, Bagi Jogi Lanker, Lamb Mohalla, Batapora, Noor Bhat Nohalla, Nalla Mohalla, Chopan Mohalla, Bapari Mohalla, Biegyar, Mirak Shah Sahib (RA), Degga Mohalla, Balkawpora and Gurpora Naidyar.

People of these areas met the Minster and raised the issues of drinking  water, repairs of damaged link roads, replacement of old electric poles, wire replacement, installation of new transformers, construction of drainage, sanitation besides dredging of Dal lake on Jogi Lanker side and construction of Community Halls in these areas. They also requested the Minister for construction of Foot Bridge and walls around the lake for protection of locals.

The Minister issued on spot directions to the concerned authorities for redress of genuine problems faced by the people of these areas. She also directed the SMC officers to ensure proper sanitation in these areas.On the occasion she said the coalition government headed by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is addressing the problems with seriousness and is putting best efforts to reach the grassroots level to ascertain the living conditions of the people. She assured the locals that their genuine problems will be solved on priority.
