Shabir orders for stern action against latecomer Medicos, para-medicos of SDH Chadoora

Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan today ordered for seeking explanations against 11 Doctors, 18 Para-medicos and 2 officials of ministerial staff of Sub-District Hospital, Chadoora. He instructed the concerned authorities to take stern action against Medicos, Para-medicos and other staff member under rules who are negligent in attending their duties late.The Minister during his surprise visit to the hospital found that these officials came late to their duties and have not marked the attendance.The Minister in its surprise visit to several hospitals of Budgam and Pulwama Districts took stock of the functioning and overall medicare facilities being provided to the patients in the health  institutions of these districts. He called upon the hospital functionaries to be duty bound and ensure all possible medicare facilities to the patients, adding that any lapses in this regard would not be tolerated and stern action shall be initiated against erring officials.Mr. Shabir, during the tour, also  took stock of the pace of  under execution SDH hospital complexes of Chadoora, Charar-e-Sharief and Pokarpora. These hospital buildings are being constructed at a cumulative cost of Rs 33.49 crore against which an amo0unt of Rs 7.50 crore have been expended so far. An amount of Rs 1.40 crore is being spent on the construction of these projects under State plan during current fiscal while as rest of the amount of fund  would be  projected under NRHM.

The Minister directed concerned executing agencies for ensuring time bound completion of these hospital buildings to ensure installation of necessary modern diagnostic equipment. other paraphernalia  besides additional staff.Meanwhile during the tour of Pulwama District, the Minister inaugurated Primary Health Center building at Litter in presence of MLA Pulwama, Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh.The construction work of this hospital building and Medical officers ‘residential quarter was taken up at a cost of Rs 1.44 crore against which the construction work of hospital building completed with an expenditure of Rs 1 crore and work on Doctors quarter is near completion.Addressing a public meeting on the occasion, the Minister highlighted that the innovative initiatives launched by the State government with liberal financial assistance of Centre for improvement of healthcare facilities in the State. He said Flagship programme NRHM has helped a lot in upgradation of healthcare facilities especially in rural and hilly areas of the State. He said under the programme, the government is going to establish 600 new sub- health centers especially in those areas that lack health care facilities, adding that new health centers as per the need would be also opened in Pulwama District. He said the compound wall of PHC Litter would be also constructed and directed the concerned authorities for formulation of detailed project report for approval of funds Mr. Shabir said the children up to 18 years age group would be provided free treatment facilities in the State, adding for the purpose the government is ready to launch RBSK, a centrally funded Scheme in all the districts of the State.
