Cabinet approves proposal of Common STPs for hotel industry

The Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, approved the proposal for setting up of common sewerage treatment plants for the waste water generated by the hotel industry.The said proposal in the first instance will be implemented in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar, subject to the payment of maintenance charges/fee, as shall be prescribed by the competent authority in this behalf, to be paid by the hoteliers/other beneficiary commercial units.
