While addressing  Nirankari volunteers at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Sec. 30-A ,  it was informed by Shri Mohinder Singh Ji , Sanyojak  , Sant Nirankari Mandal Chandigarh that more than 5,000 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission travelled on their scooters and motor cycles from all over Delhi and Greater Delhi with the message of ‘Tolerance for Peaceful Coexistence’ on their sweat shirts & ‘Service with Humility’ on helmets, and assembled in the Samagam Ground near Burari Road in North Delhi today to celebrate the International Day of Tolerance declared by the UN. His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj blessed them all and asked them not only to adopt this pine virtue but preach it further since tolerance is one human quality that the world needs the most today.

In a rather innovative approach to organizing a rally, the SantNirankari Charitable Foundation provided a special kit to every participant which they put on while travelling right from their residence up to the Samagam Ground.  They donned the same while going back also.  They were advised to travel in groups of less than five so that the message of tolerance they sought to convey got spread extensively.

The participants carried placards with various messages related to tolerance such as: ‘Learn Tolerance from Nature’; ‘Tolerance – Base of Human Values’; ‘Tolerance – the Real Human Essence’; ‘Tolerance Takes us a Long Way’; ‘Where there is Tolerance, there is Peace’; and ‘Tolerance Ends Violence’. Similarly, there were some other messages which included: ‘Plant Trees, Save the World’; ‘Respecting Women is Respecting Humanity’; ‘Peace, not Pieces – Let’s work for it’;‘Clean Living, Healthy Living’; and the like.

Blessing the Rally, His Holiness said that the United Nations have declared today as the ‘International Day of Tolerance’ to draw the attention of the world to the need for this human virtue for the entire mankind.  As we all know, no human being is prepared to tolerate the other.  There are conflicts in the name of religion, caste and other negative tendencies.  We find that intolerance is disturbing every inpidual, family, community and nation on one account or the other.  We find intolerance resulting in violence even on roads.  One driver is not prepared to allow the other to pass, and there is bloodshed.Baba Ji said that the SantNirankari Mission has always been committed to human values, religious tolerance and communal harmony.  The Mission’s message is universal and aims at universal brotherhood which means love, compassion and tolerance. He appreciated the enthusiasm with which all the participants had joined the rally.  He advised them to maintain the spirit not only while celebrating the International Day of Tolerance but in future, in their daily life also. The Chief Guest on the occasion,MahabaliSatpalJi, Olympic Champion for Wrestling appreciated the Mission’s commitment towards tolerance under the benign guidance of Satguru Baba Haredev Singh JiMaharaj.  He said that the world’s arsenals are already full of deadly weapons and, therefore, the message of tolerance is the dire need of the Day.Concluding the Rally, Baba Hardev Singh JiMaharaj flagged off the riders to travel back to their homes while spreading the same message, of course.
