Sukhbir Invites Oswal Group To Establish University In Punjab

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today invited the Oswal group to establish a world class university in the state preferably in Ludhiana, so that the youth could be given a focused education in the field of commerce and management. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the New Block of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management Ludhiana, Mr. Badal said that the upcoming education city would house eminent world class educational institutions and universities in humanities, medical, pharmaceutical, engineering etc. to impart the start of art education to the students of our country as well as from other parts of the world. The deputy chief minister also announced that a mega education city over an area of 1500 acre would soon come up at Mullanpura near Chandigarh to give further impetus to the quality of higher education in the state.Reiterating his resolve to make Punjab as the most literate state in the country, Mr. Badal said that the Punjab government has framed a number of policies to strengthen the base of education in the state. He said that the pace of development in Punjab was not due to a Magic Wand but it was the creative and positive mindset of the leadership that has brought the desired results.Expressing concern over the increased trend of drug addiction amongst youth, 

Badal the Punjab government has launched an extensive drive against the drugs in Punjab besides motivating them to stay away from drugs. He said that “we are fortunate to have maximum youth power in the country”, the energies of the youth would be channelized towards creativity. He made an appeal to the youth to contribute in shaping up the future of the country.Reacting to the baseless propaganda of the Congress party on the state’s decaying financial health; Mr. Badal rubbished all such comments saying that the SAD-BJP has successfully initiated a sustained campaign to make Punjab most preferred investment destination in India, the country’s top business houses have made public their plans to make huge investment in the agrarian state, he added.Prominent among others who were present on the occasion included PWD Minister Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Industrial Advisor Mr. Kamal Oswal, Mr. Rajinder Bhandari, Mayor Mr. Harcharn Singh Gohalwaria, Commissioner Mr. Rahul Tiwari & Others.
