pisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu reviewed the various development works in district Udhampur today. He took a detailed review of the physical and financial achievements registered under various sectors and assessed the ongoing works being executed by ERA, JKPCC and other departments.During the meeting discussion was also held on staff position in health and education sector, status of land acquisition with regard to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Railway, PMGSY projects, issue of land compensation. pisional Commissioner also appreciated the efforts of district administration to work with dedication and honesty for achieving the targets in stipulated time frame.District Development Commissioner Udhampur (DDC), Mrs. Yasha Mudgal gave a detailed account of physical and financial achievement registered in various sectors under annual district plan 2013-14 and apprised that against an availability of over Rs 75.17 crores for the current financial year, Rs. 3051.30 Lakh has been expended by October 2013 thus registering 41 percent expenditure.

While apprising about the new initiatives being taken in the district, She said that triple cropping & germ plasm in agriculture sector, plantation drive on National Highway, mobile medical units has been launched besides site identification for rehabilitation of Rehari Phari Walas has been done which would further help to decongest the town. The DDC gave a detailed resume of the status of developmental works and flagship schemes like MGNREGA, PMGSY, NRHM, NRDWP and PMRP, through a power point presentation.Later, the pisional Commissioner as a designated Roll Observer reviewed the preparation of electoral roll, summery revision, establishment of election strong room, issues of EPIC and registration of new electorates etc.The DDC also informed that mapping of all polling stations has been done besides five colleges and nine higher secondary school has been covered under Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation SVEEP, while the process of Bio-Metric Mapping is in progress in snow bound area under the Nation Population Registration.Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Mr. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mr Vikas Sharma, Joint Director Planning, Mr. Rakesh Jamwal, IAS Probationer, Mr. R. Jatt, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mr. N.S. Jamwal, SDM, Dudu Basantgarh, Mr. M.A. Banday and heads of various departments were present on the occasion.
