Divisional Commissioner Jammu calls on Governor

Shantmanu, pisional Commissioner, Jammu, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today.The pisional Commissioner briefed the Governor about the overall law and order situation and about the implementation of various important development projects in the Jammu pision. The Governor suggested to the pisional Commissioner to take particular interest in ensuring that the obtaining high incidence of fatal road accidents in various parts of the region is speedily brought down and satisfactory traffic management systems enforced. The Governor also advised Mr. Shantmanu to take effective preventive measures to ensure against encroachments along both sides of the new 4-lane National Highway to Srinagar and, side by side, enforcement of similar preventive measures along the entire Mughal Road, right up to Pir-ki-Gali.
