Congress Trying To Hinder Ongoing Investigations By Intimidating CBI : Sukhbir Badal

The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today accused the Congress led UPA government for its nefarious designs to intimidate CBI and termed it an attempt to hamper the ongoing investigations in Coalgate and other multi-crore scams. He said that remarks of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Mr. P. Chidambram to humiliate the premier investigating agency CBI were ‘very unfortunate’.Accusing the Congress led UPA Government for constantly misusing apex investigating agency CBI for last 10 years, the Deputy CM said that during tough times, UPA often used CBI as ‘caged parrot’ to bail it out for its vested political purposes.Mr. Badal while answering to media queries after inaugurating the 66 KV Sub Station at village Pakka Kalewala of Jalalabad constituency said that now smelling the political change at Center, the Congress led UPA government cornering CBI by challenging its authority. He said that Congress Party was afraid of consequences to be faced for its wrongdoings, if NDA comes to Center, so that’s why they were publicly warns CBI.

On being asked about any ban on land registration in Punjab, Mr. Badal said that there was no such ban. He said that it was only in illegal colonies, where the people can get the registrations by producing required No Objection Certificates. He said that the Punjab Government has given sufficient times to get the illegal colonies, plots and other sites regularized. He said that those who have got their properties regularized, they can have land registration.

When asked about the propaganda of PPCC describing Punjab as worst state in the country on various platforms, the Deputy CM said that the electorates of Punjab have given befitting answer to Congress Party in previous Vidhan Sabha elections. He said that the recent rating of CRISIL declaring Punjab a one of the most prosperous and riches state has shut the mouths of opponents, who in reality the real enemies of Punjab and its development. He said that soon Punjab would be the leading state in various fields including Industry, Power, Infrastructure, Road and Air Connectivity, Education, IT, Textile and healthcare since captains of industry were ready to join hands with Punjab by setting-up their units here.The Deputy CM said that Punjab government has finalized the planned development of all cities and rural areas and world class master plans would be launched in all cities soon.

Talking about the relining and rehabilitation of irrigation network in Malwa belt, Mr. Badal said that he has inaugurated various projects yesterday costing Rs. 164 crore in the region, which would add more 55,000 acres of land into the existing 288 lakh acres of land. He said that all the works would be completed in given time frame for the facilitation of farming community.Meanwhile, the Deputy CM also presided over Sangat Darshan programs at villages Pakka Kalewala, Ratta Khera and Jandwala where he distributed cheques of grants to more than 30 Panchayats for development works.Prominent amongst those were present included Mr. Sher Singh Ghubaya, Member Parliament, Mr. Satinderjit Singh Manta, Mr. Charanjit Singh Brar, Mr. Vardev Singh Mann, Mr. Lakhwinder Singh Rohiwala and Mr. Jais Rat.
