LC panel reviews CAPD functioning

The Departmental Related Standing Committee-I of Legislative Council today reviewed the working of the CA&PD Department and directed concerned authorities for implementation of departmental schemes on the ground in letter and spirit.The Committee met here under the chairmanship of MLC, G N Monga and legislators, Ashok Khajuria, Ramesh Arora and Khursheed Alam were also present in the meeting.The Committee reviewed the functioning of CAPD particularly the criteria adopted for ration distribution. Status of fair price shops, new ration cards, home delivery of LPG and other related issues came up for discussion in the meeting.During the meeting legislators gave their suggestions and recommendations for further improving the functioning of the Department.Secretary, CAPD, Saurabh Bhagat and other field officers attended the meeting and briefed the committee about the working of the department.They apprised the Committee about the physical and financial achievements of the department.
