Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today lauded the bravery and prompt action of the SWAT team of the Punjab Police which led to decimation of the terrorists who has attacked and killed innocents in Deenanagar.Badal congratulated DGP Sumedh Singh Saini for the well calibrated action, adding the hard work and planning involved in establishing the State's SWAT team had borne fruit. He also commended the exemplary bravery of SP Baljit Singh,  who had laid down his life in the service of the country. He also lauded the bravery and quick response of the bus driver who had saved several life's by his presence of mind. "We will award him for this act", he added.The Deputy CM said "We have given the  required response to the terrorists who tried to create mayhem in Punjab in the orders of their political masters  in Pakistan".

Badal said Punjab would not allow terrorism to raise its head in the State again. Closely monitoring the situation during his official Poland visit Mr. Badal  who also holds the Home Ministry, has declared that operation to flush out terrorists is over & three terrorists have been finished.Terming it as a attack on the nation, Mr. Badal said that these terrorists have attacked India, who have crossed the border for this heinous crime. Strongly condemning the ghastly attack on police and innocent people Mr. Badal affirmed that the hard earned communal harmony and law & order situation would be maintained at any cost in the state. He said an alert has also been sounded along the international border.Expressing his deep sense of concern over the most unfortunate incident Deputy CM has asked the people to stay calm and maintain peace and harmony. He also expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families and assured that state government would provide free medical treatment to the injured people.He announced that the bus driver will also be honored by the state government who have saved passengers from the planned attack by terrorists.
