Higher Education Minister meets Governor

Mohammad Akbar Lone, Minister for Higher Education, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today. Lone briefed the Governor about the initiatives being taken by the State Higher Education Department to promote the cause of higher education in J&K. The Governor emphasized the very high importance of the Higher Education Department ensuring that high quality education is imparted to the students in all areas of learning so that they are adequately equipped with the required knowledge and skills to compete successfully with their counterparts from anywhere in the country. The Governor complimented Mr. Lone for recognizing the need for the State Universities to effectively ensure that every affiliated institution fully adheres to the prescribed standards and regulations.
